Who I am

This is the personal portfolio website of Ben Walker. It's a personal site, not a business. If you have any questions about this policy, email me at me@ben-walker.co.uk.

1. What I collect and why

This site collects personal data in two ways:

• Contact Form: If you use the contact form, I collect your name and email address so I can respond to you. I won't add you to any mailing list or share your details with anyone. I'll keep your message for as long as it's relevant and delete it after that.
• Google Analytics: With your consent, I use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use this site (pages visited, approximate location, device type). This data is anonymised and processed by Google. You can opt out at any time using the cookie settings link below.

2. Who I share data with

I don't sell or share your personal data. Google receives analytics data if you consent to cookies. Your contact form messages are received directly by me via email.

3. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data I hold about you, and to withdraw consent for analytics at any time. Just email me at me@ben-walker.co.uk and I'll sort it.

You can also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk if you're unhappy with how I've handled your data.

4. Data Sharing

I don't share your data with third parties except for Google Analytics (if you consent).

5. Cookies

I use Google Analytics cookies only with your consent. When you first visit, a cookie consent banner appears. You can choose to "Accept" or "Reject" analytics cookies. Strictly necessary cookies (if any) may be set without consent. You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clicking "Cookie Settings" in the footer.
